RYVU is an international collaborative research project looking at how volunteering affects skills, employability, and inequalities experienced by young refugees in Uganda.

Working alongside refugees, humanitarian and development organisations, and government representatives, RYVU’s fieldwork used a mixed methods approach to provide a detailed analysis of refugee youth volunteering across Uganda.

RYVU researchers have developed a range of resources and toolkits for different audiences to explore and download, including policy briefings, academic publications, interactive games, and an exhibition of photographs taken by young refugees documenting their volunteering experiences.
