About the outdoor Car Boot Sale and Market

• Opening times: 6am–1.30pm, opens at 7am for buyers
• Location: Bowlee Community Park, Heywood Old Road, Middleton, Manchester M24 4SB
• Cost: free entry for buyers, on-site parking £2.50 per vehicle. If you can, please bring the exact change to pay on the gate.
• Who is this event suitable for? Everyone is welcome.
• Booking required: no, you can just turn up.
• Directions: get directions to this event on Google Maps
• Using a satnav: if you're using a satnav to find the venue, consider inputting Bowlee Community Park instead of the postcode. Some satnav models may direct you to the nearby housing estate, which doesn't have vehicle access to the event.

Check for cancellations and keep up-to-date

We want the day to be a great experience for both buyers and sellers so we keep a close eye on the weather. In the event of a poor forecast, we'll cancel on the evening before the sale. If bad weather is forecast, we’ll aim to announce the cancellation by 6pm the day before.

Selling

No need to book. Just turn up from 6am and pay at the gate.

Prices for selling:

• Cars: £15
• Estate vehicles, small vans, people carriers, 4x4s: £20
• Large transit van upwards: £25

We do let sellers onto the site before the buyers and we allow as much time as we can before letting buyers enter the site. However, when the event is very busy we need to reduce congestion and queues by allowing vehicles into the buyers car park.

Please note, sellers must take all their rubbish home when leaving the site.

Important information for sellers

Whether you are a private seller or a trader, make sure you are aware of the legal implications of selling at a car boot sale.

• Food and drink can only be sold by our authorised supplier and not by car boot sellers.
• To sell or have in possession for sale counterfeit goods is a criminal offence.
• Cigarettes, alcohol, vapes, fireworks, BB guns and any other type of age restricted product must not be sold.

Warning: Trading Standards officers regularly visit the site and action will be taken against suspicious activity. Your vehicle registration number could be passed to Trading Standards and Greater Manchester Police.

It is a condition of selling at Bowlee Car Boot Sale and Market that you have read, understood and agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.

Buying 

There's a drop-off and pick-up point for buyers near the entrance to speed up access.

Car parking if you're buying

Buyers can arrive from 7am but no earlier. This is to allow sellers to set up.

Please use the onsite car park, which costs £2.50 per vehicle. If you can, please bring the exact change to pay at the gate.

There's a residents-only parking scheme for permit holders around Latrigg Crescent and the surrounding area. This will be in force throughout the duration of each sale. 

Please do not park in front of driveways. Use the official onsite car park or you could be issued with a fine.
